During the spring and summer of 2014, researchers from the University of Maine are hosting a series of FREE pollination workshops for fruit and vegetable growers. These workshops are supported by a grant from the Northeast Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education (SARE) program. Each workshop is tailored to either apple, lowbush blueberry, or mixed vegetable growers. At the workshops, Dr. Frank Drummond will provide instruction on assessing bees' impact on fruit set and identifying native bees. He will also present information on strategies to improve habitat for native bees. Please see the Workshop Information page for details about the date, time, and location of each workshop. We hope to see you there!
